I spent way too much time on email, averaging a little more than 2 hours a day (thanks to rescue time for helping me become aware). Alot of the time is spent skimming through newsletters (Product updates, new features, event coming up, etc etc) and there are so many!
Recently a dear friend came up with this email hack that shaved off quite a few minutes of time spent on gmail. Basic idea: filter out all incoming emails with the word ‘unsubscribe’ and automatically label it as newsletter and then archive it.
What happens now is that all newsletters will no longer show up on your inbox. On a given day if I wanted to know what’s going on with newsletter updates, I’ll simply pull up all emails with the label ‘newsletter’. So simple, yet so useful!
Now it’s alot easier to get to INBOX ZERO!
